Today is the 64th birthday of Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi. She is spending it alone in a guest house inside Rangoon’s Insein Prison, awaiting the verdict in her trial for breaking the terms of her house arrest. Her crime was to allow an univited American to rest at her home after he had swam without permission across Inya lake to the heavily guarded compound. The anniversary is being marked with events around the world, including this concert at Mae Tao Clinic:
