Burma calls for an end to immoral sanctions
Apparently sanctions imposed against Burma by certain countries are having a negative effect on the rest of the world. Speaking at the UN, Nyan Win, Burma’s foreign minister said if sanctions were lifted, Burma could become the rice bowl of Southeast Asia and provide energy to other countries.

New report finds Chinese multinationals increasing investment in Burma
A new report by EarthRights International reveals increased investment in Burma by Chinese multinational corporations. EarthRights has found 69 Chinese multinationals involved in 90 completed, current and planned projects in the hydropower and natural resource sectors in Burma.

NLD anniversary marred by arrests

Win Tin evicted not released
