Junta steps up security ahead of anniversary of the Saffron Revolution
Authorities in Pakokku have reportedly brought traffic to a standstill after putting up barbed wire barriers to prevent demonstrations as the first anniversary of the Saffron Revolution approaches.
According to the Democratic Voice of Burma, authorities have increased security in Pakokku amid concerns that monks will stage protests to mark September’s Saffron Revolution.
