I want to be fair and give respect where it is due. In a previous post, I was somewhat critical of the coffee making skills at Hazel, Mae Sot’s first western style coffee shop.

However, last week I moved into a flat two doors down from the coffee shop and have been visiting them a lot in order to make use of their wireless hotspot. After I emailed Gabby at the Vine Centre for instructions, I’m pleased to say they can now make a regular white coffee!

A plain, simple coffee with milk.

Even better, they make the lightest, fluffiest brownies I have ever tasted! What a blessing.

The only problem is the electrical store on the ground floor between the coffee shop and my building seems to be producing interference, which stops me from connecting to the hotspot from home during the day.

However, my ADSL line should be installed in a few days. There has been a delay, because I’ve had to apply for a telephone number (which I’ll never used), before I can get the ADSL line – File that under ‘You know you’re in Thailand when…’
