Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in six words. The result: For sale: baby shoes, never used. Rumor has it that he considered it to be his greatest work. Here are my efforts:
He runs, he shoots. So close.
Nintendo vs. Sega. Here comes Microsoft!
Crucified, He rose, and we’re saved!
At station, but missed last train.
Overslept. He saw her in curlers!
Helped him pack, but not happy.
Ship sailed, lifeboats still on dock.
He’s lost. Found Jesus, now saved.
Returned his present, and bought shoes.
Got new shirt, forgot the pants.
He sleeps in and loses job.
Cat’s away. Mice having a party.
Looking at me? I’ve a knife.
Mailed test results, got address wrong!
Wanted to apologize, she’s gone dancing.
Lost: black dog. Owners need collar.
On roof, he jumps. Lands safely.
Followed him and saw her too.
