Going back to Mae Sot

It seems like I’ve barely had time to recover from the mission trip to Dumaguete at Easter, but I’m already preparing for the next trip. I’m taking a team from the Vine to Mae Sot on the Thai/Burma border to do youth outreach and to visit some ministries working with the Karen in the border camps.
I’m working with Janice from 180 to organise the trip and because of everything that’s been happening in church, Easter, the live album recording, etc, we’re way behind. Partners who are organising everything for us in Thailand have been pushing me for the last two months to confirm dates – they even wanted to know the names and passport numbers of our team back in February!
Last Saturday we were finally able to announce the trip at 180 and ask for volunteers to join the team. Praise God, by the end of the night we had a full team.
Now we’ve just got to confirm dates with Partners, get airline reservations, raise funds, learn dramas, do all the usual team preparation stuff and sort out anti-malaria drugs, and, all with only five weeks to go.
